Yay Jessica!

musings from a homesick girl
On Dec. 10, the stock will begin trading under the symbol AOL — almost exactly 10 years after the Netco merged with Time Warner in one of the decade’s worst media deals.

Time Warner sets AOL share swap

I remember when this merger happened, I was working at 75 Rockefeller at WBR and we were all freaked out. Thinking we may lose our jobs, not sure what it meant…but were pretty sure it was a terrible idea… At midnight on the day of the merger, the men were outside our bulding taking down the “Time Warner” sign and putting up the “AOL Time Warner” sign.

They cut Warner Music Group out of the deal a few years laters. Good Riddance, AOL and Time Warner, we didnt want you anyway…

Very interested to see what this brings about…ill be thiking about my friends at AOL and hoping they’re jobs are safe.
